White fused alumina, with Industrial alumina as main raw material, is electrically fused in high temperature. It has a higher hardness compared with brown fused alumina, while a lower toughness. Abrasive tools that made from white fused alumina are suitable for the grinding of high carbon steel, high speed steel and chilled steel. It can also be used as polishing media and precision founding sand, spraying and coating materials, catalyst carrier, special ceramics and high grade refractory materials.
